{"id":3182,"date":"2015-11-30T10:23:16","date_gmt":"2015-11-30T10:23:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pharmamanage.gr\/2015\/11\/30\/the-most-dangerous-mistake-with-your-pharmacy\/"},"modified":"2024-02-02T11:37:42","modified_gmt":"2024-02-02T09:37:42","slug":"the-most-dangerous-mistake-with-your-pharmacy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.staging.pharmamanage.gr\/en\/the-most-dangerous-mistake-with-your-pharmacy\/","title":{"rendered":"The most Dangerous Mistake with Your Pharmacy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"article_css\">One of the biggest mistakes most Pharmacists make is that they hire or choose to work with the wrong people.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"article_css\">\n<li>There&#8217;s the Pharmacy owner that makes his hiring decision without fully knowing if the person he hired is qualified or not.<\/li>\n<li>There&#8217;s the business owner that makes their hiring decision purely because they LIKE the person and get along with them very well.<\/li>\n<li>Sometimes, it can even be for reasons such as &#8220;Oh they&#8217;re similar to me, they&#8217;ll do well&#8221;, or worse &#8220;I&#8217;ll hire them because I want to help them&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>There&#8217;s the Pharmacy owner that makes his hiring decision because he is in deep &#8216;need&#8217; for that talent and he just have a feeling that this is the best person for the position.<\/li>\n<li>There&#8217;s also the Pharmacist that makes his hiring decision purely based on price alone. Usually this type of person looks for the cheapest option available then goes with it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"article_css\">All of the above things have ONE thing in common:<\/p>\n<p class=\"article_css\">\n<p class=\"article_css\">They are FLAWED methods for choosing talent. Seriously. Most people have even better ways of choosing a car, choosing a destination for a vacation, or even choosing the clothes they buy!<\/p>\n<p class=\"article_css\"><strong>When the reality is&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"article_css\">YOUR business, YOUR PHARMACY is one of the most important assets that you have right now.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article_css\">So why leave your Pharmacy&#8217;s success dependent on flawed methods of getting the right people?<\/p>\n<p class=\"article_css\">That&#8217;s one of the major reasons why businesses ultimately FAIL, or don&#8217;t grow passed the current level they are in.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article_css\">Not only do you waste an incredible amount of time and energy, when you work with the wrong people. You also throw away a lot of the opportunities you could have taken advantage of.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article_css\"><strong>So here are three basic strategies you can use to make sure that you only work with the right people:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"article_css\"><strong>1. Be brutal with your interview process.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"article_css\">Screening is very important if you want to get the best people. Most top companies spend somewhere between 2 to 5 hours interviewing people.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article_css\"><strong>2. References, past employers, and test.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"article_css\">First, you should ask for references, then call the references and ask about that person&#8217;s performance and results.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article_css\">Second, call their last 3 employers and ask about that person&#8217;s performance and results.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article_css\">Third, you have to test them out. Give them a small project and see how they perform.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article_css\"><strong>3. Don&#8217;t try to do it all by yourself.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"article_css\">The above process could take somewhere between 5 to 8 hours in total. So if you&#8217;re looking into 4 potential candidates, then you&#8217;ll be screening, interviewing, and testing all week long.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article_css\">So instead of trying to do it all yourself, just work with a company that already does all of this for you, so you can be free to focus on what you do best.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article_css\">So next time you work with somebody, make sure that they&#8217;re qualified, skilled, and capable of getting the job done right.It will save you a lot of time, money, and frustration.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article_css\"><strong>Remember, if you work with the right people, you&#8217;ll get things done faster, and with better quality.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One of the biggest mistakes most Pharmacists make is that they hire or choose to work with the wrong people.
