What is his role, as he is responsible for control and management?<\/p>\n

Some identify the term management with administration, others with leadership, and others with organization.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the pharmacy, as in any other business environment, the pharmacist organizes its general operation, the daily tasks of the team and he sets future goals, ensuring their proper performance.<\/p>\n

He manages the day-to-day life.<\/strong><\/p>\n

But what kind of management should the pharmacist adopt<\/p>\n

Can everyone manage in the same way?<\/p>\n

What skills do they need to manage their team?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The truth is that there is no specific way to manage your pharmacy.<\/p>\n

To be more precise, there are four different types of Management.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We describe them below.<\/p>\n

Coaching Management<\/strong><\/p>\n

Caution! Guidance should be given by giving instructions and encouraging your associates, not in an authoritarian way.<\/p>\n

The advantages of this type of management are the organization of the team, which facilitates the completion of the tasks, allows the creation of processes and improves the execution time.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On the other hand, some disadvantages are that employees have little room to develop their autonomy, and of course the manager can make some mistakes.<\/p>\n

\"Employees<\/p>\n

Persuasion Management<\/strong><\/p>\n

In this type of management, the pharmacist-manager dedicates time to explain the decisions he takes.<\/p>\n

Of course, the most important advantage is the motivation of his employees, while on the other hand it is considered quite tiring for a manager to be responsible for all the decisions and tasks.<\/p>\n

Participation Management<\/strong><\/p>\n

Here, the main feature is the common consensus and the participation of all.<\/p>\n

A key advantage is that the whole team has the ability and the opportunity to express their creativity.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The only disadvantage is that the authority of the director can became weak.<\/p>\n

Authorization management<\/strong><\/p>\n

This way of management allows employees to make decisions within specific frameworks and boundaries.<\/p>\n

Employees have responsibilities and are actually involved in the administration in a number of contexts.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The only disadvantage is that if an employee makes a mistake, the pharmacist-manager remains the main responsible.<\/p>\n

The responsibilities given to each employee must be tailored to their abilities.<\/p>\n

How to choose the right type of management for you?<\/strong><\/p>\n

In order to select the appropriate type of management, the pharmacist-manager analyzes in advance the degree of autonomy of each associate individually.<\/p>\n

So he can combines his skills and his motivation for a specific job.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There are four possible combinations:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. If your associate is more or less competent and motivated, the best you can do is to adopt the coaching management, so he can be encouraged to work more efficiently.<\/p>\n

2. If your associate is poorly motivated with lack of some skills, you should adopt a persuasion management, explaining the reasons for your decisions constantly.<\/strong><\/p>\n

3. If your associate is competent and passionate on his work, then he is involved in making suggestions.<\/p>\n

4. Finally, when an employee is an expert in his field, and competent, you can entrust him the tasks with full confidence.<\/strong><\/p>\n

You need to be sure that you have the right person in the right position, under your supervision, when needed, and with total freedom if possible.<\/p>\n
